CO2 Australia is a publically listed Australian company that creates carbon credits through the sale of long term, commercial-scale Mallee Eucalypt plantings.
The brief required us to develop a simple-to-use online carbon emissions calculator that allowed visitors to easily calculate their annual carbon emissions and then purchase carbon offsets online via a secure real-time e-commerce system.
The resulting system IASP delivered not only makes this possible, it also automatically generates a personalised PDF certificate that is e-mailed (and also posted) at the completion of the transaction.
Because there are numerous factors that are subject to regular changes in the formula that calculates offset credits, IASP also provided CO2 Australia administrators with the ability to instantly modify all individual factor values as required.
Additionally, as CO2 Australia offers corporate packages to selected customers, the system includes the ability to process transactions based on the referral source of the visitor. This advanced function allows employees from corporate partners to process their own carbon offset calculations, and the resulting offsets are invoiced to their company rather than requiring real-time payment.
