IASP's origin can be traced to 1998 when our CEO, Tony Bartlett, then working as Managing Director of Canberra based Internet service provider ActWEB, secured a government grant to supplement funds that had already been set aside to develop version 1 of our software technology.
In 2001, ActWEB's ISP interests were sold and we began targeting our software to the "Registered Club" industry. As we were a portal provider targeting Clubs, we operated under the brand "ClubPort".
In hindsight, choosing the same brand name as a popular beverage many clubs served to patrons was probably not such a good idea.
By the end of 2001, using the logic that we were portal software providers for a broad range of business types, the brand was renamed "InfoPort".
We had a marketing report commissioned early in 2002, and the resulting feedback revealed we were not successfully targeting the right market and should re-focus on developing channel partnerships to deliver our software applications to market.
At the time our rapidly evolving propriety software was engineered in Microsoft's Active Server Page (ASP) framework, and our core product was being delivered via the Application Service Provider model so "IASP" seemed a logical brand selection.
Over the past several years the business has rapidly expanded its client
and partner network along with its management and staff resources. To cater
for increased demand, we invested substantial resources into the
development of internal network and production systems while continuing to
focus on the constant improvement and evolution of our core software
applications.
In mid 2007 we relocated to new corporate headquarters on the fringe of
Melbourne's CBD and our greatest achievement to date is completion of the
IASP 5.0 application, the current version of our wholly-owned software
system with an estimated re-development value of over US $8,000,000*.
September 2007 marks the next stage of our corporate evolution with the launch of a new website, an exciting new range of products and services, and commencement of gradual migration of our master brand name from IASP to Enotia.
The growing penetration of broadband, the emerging mobile Internet and the evolution of Web 2.0 (interactive web applications) now present wonderful opportunities to apply our technology in novel ways.
With growing demand for our range of mature, robust products and services we are highly optimistic about the years ahead.
